PDCIP - 013 - Add MaxwellX (Punk 9527) to the Multisig

Background

It has become clear, as the DAO has grown, that the multisig setup is sub-optimal in terms of decentralisation and also operational efficiency. Things are taking too long to get signed off and this is impacting our reputation. We also want to move to a more community focussed setup as the multisig is a little unbalanced in terms of high % being held by TL (our custodian) vs individual community members.

To remedy these two points, it is proposed that MaxwellX (Punk 9527) is added.

Rationale

Important qualities of a new multisig signer are:

• Integrity
• Trust of the community
• Demonstrated commitment to the DAO
• Willingness to action ad-hoc tasks with 0 thanks
• Public reputation that would be tarnished by bad action

MaxwellX (Punk 9527) has all of these in abundance. Not only has he put in a huge amount of work for the DAO, he is a very well respected member of the community and his online presence and business relies on this good reputation.

New setup

Following implementation, the multisig will become 3/7. It is currently 3/6. 4 wallets are held by the custodian (Tribute Labs)
