This proposal confirms that the DAO is changing direction to address Minecraft’s recent statement on NFTs and blockchain integration, found here: https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/article/minecraft-and-nfts
"We are committed to compliance or migration and will be leading discussions with all DAO members and stakeholders on the best ways to approach this. We encourage everyone to join our discord (https://theuplift.world/discord) and talk about the best ways to remain compliant after the recent shift in policy by Mojang, as well as best options to migrate our worlds/plots/builds and upliftium economy to an existing or new platform (should we have to or if we want to have an additional platform for our worlds/plots/builds)
The DAO’s current opinion (day 1 take): We don't have real scarcity because the DAO can issue new worlds/lands and has in the past (speculating by just buying plots has never been a good plan in The Uplift).
If we open the server without passports then new players can even build in the nethers and eventually in nemesis replacement worlds.
We don't offer earning NFTs through in game activities, you earn upliftium which is for use in-game (though there is crystallization, but I don't think that counts)
We don't have 'blockchain integration' in the servers as we aren't popping people wax or eth wallets for shops like say NFT worlds"
The Method for this proposal will be quadratic voting. This pre-proposal will go to a final proposal as soon as it reaches quorum.
"accept this statement"
"suspend all servers and the Eth sale while we regroup" note From an optics point of view continuing the sale and working to make sure we are compliant and/or to migrate is actually stronger than suspending actions…
"proceed as normal without accepting the above statement"
