FINAL Proposal to Adopt an Official Statement about Minecraft based on DAO discussions (07/20-07/23)

Summary

In response to the recent statement from MOJANG (https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/article/minecraft-and-nfts), we propose to adopt the following as our statement on the matter:

“The UpliftWorld is committed to compliance or migration and will be leading discussions with all DAO members and stakeholders on the best ways to approach this. We encourage everyone to join our discord (https://theuplift.world/discord) and talk about the best ways to remain compliant after the recent shift in policy by MOJANG, as well as best options to migrate our worlds/plots/builds and Upliftium economy to an existing or new platform (should we have to or if we want to have an additional platform for our worlds/plots/builds)

We have always envisioned the Uplift World existing and thriving on multiple platforms. We are more excited than ever to potentially bring the UpliftWorld to different blockchains and platforms beyond Minecraft, all coexisting and connected to one another! Minecraft was and still is a great starting platform that helped us build so much, however we are eager to explore the possibility to expand and build the UpliftWorld metaverse in other places as well.

For compliance purposes, we are proposing changes that allow us to align more with MOJANG’s recent announcement regarding Minecraft and NFTs. The Uplift World’s proposals to open the server to the public without passport NFTs has been evaluated through collective DAO voting and we have record turnout of voters as well as DAO votes, with about 97% of votes being in favor of this change. This means that new players can come and build in the nether (https://snapshot.org/#/theuplift.eth/proposal/0x3ca9a7f94750362e074066ea1f0b4273d4b356bda72fd50929c2250be6f1bed7) and eventually in nemesis activity worlds.

Additionally, the UpliftWorld does not have 'blockchain integration' in the servers as we are not interacting with WAX or ETH wallets for shops. There are no on-chain transactions inside the server. The UpliftWorld also wants to note that we do not offer earning NFTs through player rewards; players instead earn Upliftium which is an in-game points system.
