THE PROPOSAL

This proposal from THORChain University requests a $THOR grant (amount depending on the results of this vote) to be allocated to THORChain University’s Learn2Earn programme as rewards for use in a set time frame (as determined by the vote).

This multi-choice vote addresses 3 parameters, execution will depend on the results of each:

1. How much $THOR to contribute for rewards (based on US Dollar value)

2. Timeframe - contribute until allocation runs out OR To be topped up indefinitely, per continually-monitored agreement.

3. Whether to allocate 5% of reward contributions to TCU curriculum devs for their work.

Note: If this proposal is passed, THORSwap contributors will collaborate with TCU to determine the best timeframe to launch the program as well as the method of reward distribution.

NOTE:

Each voter may select ANY number of choices (ie. Allocate $10K+ worth of $THOR, distribute until allocation runs out and reward TCU 5% for programme management).

Summary

THORChain University TCU Discord is currently building a THORChain-centric Learn 2 Earn Course Program. This draft proposal seeks support from THORSwap as a key ecosystem partner and recommends $THOR to be allocated from Community Incentives to support the initiative and grow awareness for THORSwap and the $THOR community.

Motivation

TCU's intention in this buildout, in addition to serving the educational needs of the public, is to bring together and showcase all ecosystem projects together under one roof, giving shared and equal platform and brand awareness to all projects in a public-facing display of ecosystem solidarity, ethos-alignment, and community support in the purpose of education. Additionally, it is a chance for projects to "put their best foot forward" and show why they are the best at what they do. TCU intends for students to complete at least one on-chain task on each frontend partner's platform.

TCU are very close to 100% confirmed participation from all THORChain ecosystem projects, numbering 17 right now (including Ledger).

Participation from each project will come in the form of a unique reward that will be distributed to students who complete both knowledge-base quizzes as well as on-chain tasks. This draft proposal recommends $THOR to be allocated from Community Incentives to support the initiative and grow awareness for THORSwap and the $THOR community.

Benefits

• Collaboration and supporting a THORChain OG team: previously known as LP University - TCU team are made up of ecosystem OGs who have been part of THORChain since day 1 to spread the good word of the protocol and provide education to users new and old.

• TCU and THORSwap have previously collaborated on the LP calculator on THORYield as well as discord bot, education content and even a merch drop.

• Supporting a formal education programme being developed as we get ready to onboard the next wave of DeFi users.

Drawbacks

TCU is still awaiting feedback from other ecosystem partners regarding how much the average contribution may be and how rewards will be distributed. It is understood that each partner may choose different methods for gas efficiency.
