TIP 38: Management, Planning, and Application of the Community Treasury（社区财库管理、规划与应用）

Background:

The Tokenlon Community Treasury is comprised of a reserve pool of LON tokens, governed by the community, and is earmarked for the growth and development of the Tokenlon ecosystem. This treasury is funded through open market buybacks.

The net fees collected by Tokenlon are utilized to buy back LON in the open market; subsequently, these funds are distributed between the treasury and the staking reward pool.

This process is wholly transparent and the details are verifiable on-chain via the Tokenlon buyback page.

Currently, the treasury is valued at over $10 million and is primarily comprised of LON, LON LP tokens, USDT, USDP, USDC, WBTC, TUSD and others.

Since its establishment, the treasury has been accruing assets and is yet to be deployed for development purposes.

Objectives:

• The principal objective is to direct funds from the community treasury to marketing initiatives that support and enhance the LON ecosystem, encompassing the LON token, staking rewards, trade mining, and the Tokenlon exchange protocol.
• An additional goal involves allocating funds to benefit the LON community participants through various campaigns, activities, and incentives.
• Given the current market trend, including speculations for the upcoming Bitcoin Halving, the team should be poised to initiate marketing and community efforts proactively and without delay when favorable conditions emerge.

Proposal:

• We propose that a designated portion of the community treasury be earmarked for marketing and community engagement campaigns, which will align with the evolving conditions and opportunities within the broader cryptocurrency market.
• The budget proposed for autonomous management by Tokenlon will be capped at an equivalent of $50,000 per quarter. This budget may be allocated to, but is not limited to, items such as community and development rewards, growth marketing strategies, bug bounties, media pitches, data API, basic utility subscriptions, among others.
• The Tokenlon core team will oversee the quarterly management of the community treasury and is committed to regularly releasing treasury activity reports on a weekly basis to ensure consistent transparency.

Execution:

• Upon approval of this proposal, the team will begin strategic planning and execution of marketing plans and community engagement campaigns, funded with care and discretion from the community treasury.
• Funds will be used for, but not limited to development costs, operating expenses and retaining a liquidity buffer.
• The utilization of treasury funds will be continuously monitored and detailed in the Tokenlon weekly reports.
• The team remains dedicated to responsible financial stewardship, demonstrating due diligence in the allocation of the treasury's budget, backed by rigorous financial oversight.
