Phase 2 Budget Proposal

MoonDAO's goal in 2022 is to launch one or more MoonDAO members into space. To achieve this goal we are moving part of our treasury to a stable coin pegged to the US Dollar (Dai) to protect us against volatility in the ETH-USD markets, and we will use this allocation to execute on our Phase 2 mission.

Some of our partners with this mission may require payment in fiat. Before any funds are moved into a fiat account, the community will vote again to ensure that the proper protections are placed on the fiat account we use that is inline with MoonDAO's values of transparency and decentralization, without disclosing any of our partner's sensitive information. If approved, we will move this allocation into a fiat account that can be used to purchase the tickets to space and cover other associated costs.

These costs include, but are not limited to, purchasing the tickets from a company capable of sending our members to space, taxes, legal fees, insurance, lodging and training for chosen members and their chosen support team, and even, potentially, a party for MoonDAO members to celebrate achieving our Phase 2 goal.

The budget total represents the permissible spending limit by the DAO to achieve our Phase 2 mission. In other words, we will continue to operate in a frugal manner so that the overflow (the amount we end up not needing) can be returned to the Gnosis multi-signature treasury at the end of our Phase 2 mission.

That being said, we reserve the right to put out another budget proposal to the community if there are unexpected expenses (e.g. extra insurance, taxes, legal fees). We don't think this will be the case, but there are always unknown unknowns.

Depending on the total budget chosen we will be able to purchase more or less tickets to space. A higher budget means multiple people can go to space, and we can potentially use a different NFT/MOONEY election mechanisms for each ticket. We can also spend more on outreach and design, have a bigger MoonDAO party, and even host our first podcast in space ;)

You may vote for more than one option proportional to the amount of tokens that you have. Please do not use more than 100,000,000 $MOONEY to vote (this corresponds to approximately 4% of the total $MOONEY supply). We will run through the snapshot vote and remove votes for addresses that do this.

The voting will be open for three days. Once the voting closes we will put in a transaction on our multi-sig to move the funds to Dai.
