MDP-14: Reimbursements and External Payments (11/24/2021-3/25/2022)
Many members of our DAO have gone forward and made payments on behalf of MoonDAO without guarantee that they would get reimbursed. This involved payments like setting up the gnosis safe, the juicebox, or other key expenses necessary to make the DAO function.
Since we did not vote on a policy for reimbursements until this moment, we are going to individually vote on each payment made on behalf of the DAO. It is each member's responsibility to go through each transaction and determine if they believe that it should be reimbursed.
From prior discussions with members of the DAO, we have determined that there are three valid forms of reimbursement in the sheet:
- Payments that were required in FIAT (and passed on Snapshot), hence off-ramp payments had to be made by an individual.
- Crypto payments that had been passed by Snapshot, but for whatever reason had not been deployed from our multi-sig and was instead paid by an individual
- Payments that were made by a contributor, at their own discretion, without being passed by Snapshot, for the sake of expediency.
It is up to the voter’s judgment whether payments of this nature ought to be reimbursed.
Linked below is the sheet with all requested reimbursement requests. Each reimbursement request has the following fields:
- Approved from Prior Snapshot
- Discord id of individual requesting reimbursement
- Payment Recipient
- Txn Receipt
- Payment Amount and Currency
- Text field describing Justification/Gain to MoonDAO

The community will vote on each reimbursement request a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’. The vote number corresponds to the request count on the sheet linked above. Reimbursements will then be made with Utopia.
Note: If passed, $MOONEY reimbursements will be the amount of $MOONEY corresponding to the ETH value at the time of transaction.
