MDP-70: MoonDAO Q4 2022 Incentives (Part 2 of 2)

Note: This is part two of a two part vote. The first vote is to agree to the total amount to be dispersed for Q4 2022 incentives. The second vote will be for the proportion going to each project.

Abstract:

MoonDAO is running its quarterly incentives for Q4 2022. We will distribute 15 million MOONEY and 5% of the non-MOONEY assets in the MoonDAO treasury. This is a reduction from the original plan of 40 million MOONEY being dispersed as was initially in the MoonDAO incentives plan laid out. The DAO will vote on the proportion of those rewards that will be sent out between all the projects that were completed in Q4 2022.

The total rewards for Q4 2022 projects will be calculated as 5% of the liquid non-Mooney assets, paid in the form of DAI, and 15 million MOONEY. A project member's rewards will be calculated as the quarter's total rewards multiplied by the percentage allocated to the project by the community and their percentage of an individual project as determined by each team’s Coordinape.

The DAI will be given as a lump-sum reward. The MOONEY will be streamed over the next year as long as the member remains engaged in a MoonDAO project as either a Steward or Moonsettler. This way members that work for a long time at MoonDAO will accrue rewards and we have an incentive for people to remain active at the DAO.

The amount of liquid non-Mooney assets is $581,100 (447 ETH calculated using the average, 3-month Q4 price of $1,300) and $598,829 DAI (subtracting $100k for the documentary project) for a total of $1,179,929, representing a total distribution of $58,996.45.

Note: For Q4 2022 we will not be subtracting up-front payments since this was not factored into projects that were already started. However, going forward we will be subtracting them.

Voter Options

Please read the details of the reports and distribute your voting power between the projects you’d like to support with bonus incentives based on the impact of the project.

You may agree with the distribution that the Senate has provided as an averaged recommendation, or you may provide your own distribution.

For example allocation of: 10% of tokens for Project 1 = 10% of incentives will go to Project 1 5% of tokens for Project 2 = 5% of incentives will go to Project 2 And so on
