This proposal refers to a new management protocol for the LP Safe on Gnosis chain (ex xDAI).
The Safe is fully managed by community members elected in a public vote.
These new rules will allow for more resilient and efficient Safe management. It has been discussed and approved with the Safe signers, and we are now seeking approval from the wider community of token holder.
Note: none of this applies to the main Trips Community Safe for which there are no changes.
Every time there is a signature, the first 6 signers are rewarded with Trips Token. These 6 will execute the transaction of the 6 out of 9 Safe. The other 3 signers (who did not sign on time and can’t sign any more because the transaction has already been executed) are rewarded if they send 1 Trips to the Safe (signalling participation) within 72 hours.
The Safe organizes the distribution via CSV Airdrop, checking the last signatures and “1 Trips verifications”. This is done every 1st of the month. In other words: at the end of the month, the signers check all the activity of the month.
That:
and keeps a clear tab on how many people are still active.
The rewards for signers: 15 Trips per signature. 16 Trips for 1 Trips verifications (which makes 15 Trips the total they receive)
In this way, people are not financially incentivized to do it quickly, but still it’s easier to sign a transaction rather than sending 1 Trips. This should be enough to incentivize signing, but not to the point where people just sign to be quick (which opens a HUGE attack vector on the Safe).
If a signer is inactive (does not sign nor sends 1 Trips), for over 30 days, the others can replace him/her.
Replacement happens via a Safe transaction where the 8 remaining signers approve or deny the replacement.
This happens in the same transaction:
The transaction above is defined by who starts it, the other signers can only execute or ignore it.
New Signers won’t be voted (it’s too bureaucratic) but they will apply informally in Discord and one of the highest LPs will be chosen by the other signers. This is not an automatism: the signers can still refuse the new signers citing the reason (“this is an alternative identity for another existing signer who will gain too much decision power”, “this is an adversarial actor” and so on). The decision to sign the "Add Owner" transaction remains with each signer. A Safe Majority (5 /8) is enough.
We need this info to be able to communicate with all the signers.
Vote YES if you agree with this proposal. Vote NO if you don't agree with this proposal.
The new rules, if approved, will take effect 72 hours after the end of the voting period.
