Background This proposal seeks to identify Unlock Protocol's key user profiles, understand their motivations and challenges, and create targeted strategies to drive adoption. By refining its messaging and resources, Unlock can better connect with people and communities and showcase its value. This process builds up on the vision and mission workshop we did last year with CaptainSouthPaw and is part of the overall marketing plan as designed by Ceci, our Steward for Marketing and communications.
Community Members Involved Sohobiit, aka Camila Barrera, is the Project Manager and Prop Executor for this project. She and her community (Happ3nxyz) have been part of Unlock DAO for quite some time and have supported us on several occasions. Sohobiit has been an active contributor to multiple DAOs, with her background in game design and social media management.
Diya, aka Anupa Dasgupta, will be responsible for analyzing the user research for this project. Anupa is an active facilitator at Role Model Rebels, has contributed actively to DAOs before, and has a reputable background in service design.
Benefits Implementing well-defined Buyer Personas is expected to significantly drive Unlock DAO’s growth by enabling more targeted marketing output, fostering better user engagement, and enhancing adoption. By understanding potential users' motivations, behaviors, and pain points, Unlock can tailor its offerings to meet their needs, thereby increasing conversions and long-term retention.
Risks The risks in this proposal could lie in the unqualified or non-existent delivery of the suggested ideas and concepts. We are tackling this by paying out milestones upon completion and conducting research on the active executors of this project. Resources Required This proposal is the adopted version of the original proposal. The scope has been made slimmer to serve the current needs of the DAO while keeping spending on budget. The team will receive payouts after every milestone has been accomplished. Ceci Sakura, the DAO's Steward for Marketing & Communications, will oversee this project, its progress, and milestone approvals. Milestone 1 - Research and Analysis (3 weeks) $1,800 USD Analyzing existing data Conducting interviews with the active DAO contributors and existing user base Benchmarking of similar products currently on the market Result: Preliminary identification and segmentation of key user profiles.
Milestone 2 - Buyer Profile Design (2 weeks) $1,400 USD Definition of methodologies to obtain accurate data. Evaluation of the inquired data points Result: A minimum of three buyer persona profiles.
Milestone 3 - Proof of Concept (1 week + collab time) $1,100 USD Launch of a targeted prototype session with the three defined personas over the course of three months in collaboration with existing DAO contributors. Assistance in creating and advising social media content in collaboration with existing DAO contributors. Refining the existing Social Media Content strategy collaboratively with Ceci Sakura Result: Final report with information and recommendations for future actions.
