uwuDAO AI Ruling

This proposal aims to clarify the rules around AI and AI-assisted submissions. Currently the only rules for submission are to have original work and be able to explain how it fits the theme. These rules were created before anime styled AI training data became easily available and therefore need amending to reflect where the community draws the line on "original work". For some context of decisions made within the current rules so far, 1 work was rejected for direct tracing and 1 work was accepted as AI-assisted overpainting with some hand drawn elements with a note on the piece indicating it is ai-assisted.

If passed all work that involves AI must be declared by the artist and will have a note in the description to highlight that for any potential collectors.

The question is, should AI and AI-assisted work be allowed?
