CryptoPunks V1 Alpha-Extended?

Expanding the #nft-alpha channel to bring in more benefits & perks to V1 Cryptopunks holders. An example that has already happened in our community would be Dented Feels. We were alloted few spots for first come first serve basis. A bunch of us are now holders of a few feels.

I don't really know how to make one of these snapshot proposals. So I'll just make a lil FAQ on what I imagine it would look like and what most people would be asking themselves about this.

1) Why would Alpha be beneficial for V1 CryptoPunks?

Announcement on other projects twitter and socials would bring exposure to what v1s are. (dayjobpunks was a good example of this; minters learnt a bit more about what v1s are, because of the collab and the discord on OS re-directing to V1 Punk discord) At the end of the day spreading the story of these cryptopunks is what we are aiming for! Many projects also have honorary spots for blue chips projects like BAYC, WOW, Doodles, MAYC etc. Holders get many perks. I think V1 Cryptopunks deserve similar treatment for what they're holding, wouldn't you agree? y'all all speciall 💜

2) How would it work?

First off I am sure not everyone would like to be annoyed with this or be part of it. It is completely normal. In order to avoid disturbing them. We start of with a new role; let's call it "Alpha role" or some name like that. Pings will only go to the specific members who choose to hold the role. Channels will be separate or have its own category (alpha announcement, alpha discussion, alpha giveaway...). Team members or community members or why not an alpha team go out hunting having conversations, networking arranging collabs with all kinds of projects. Secure WL, Free mint list or whatever they're calling it these days. Once they're secured and announced; we raffle the spots to holders while reserving few as finders fee for the team or individual who brought in said partnership. The raffle winners addresses are sent to the other team and winners get their rewards.

3) Will I get rich by minting every project that comes through Alpha?

While the team will try their best to find quality projects to collab with. It is impossible that everything will sell better than mint price. Some could even end up being rugs. That's just the nature of the space today. In NO WAY WILL THE ALPHA BE FINANCIAL ADVICE AND EVERYONE WILL BE ASKED TO DO THEIR OWN RESEARCH HEAVILY.

4) Will people buy V1s just to secure a WL spot?

They might; some have argued we dont need temporary pumps and dumps for the alpha. In my personal opinion volume is volume. For whatever reason people are buying and selling V1s. The true collectors will understand its value and stick around and we keep growing our community.

5) Can I lose everything by minting a WL for a project?

Yes, scams and new ways to scam are being born every single day. It is encouraged you use burner wallets or wallets that don't really hold anything valuable to mint. You can ask any mod for help how to securely mint something without losing personal assets.

6) Can't Cryptopunks V1 do well without this Alpha?

They will do well no matter what anyone does. We've got time on our side 💪. However as time passes the holders are getting older so why not have some JPEG fun while we're young 😁 We have quite the talent in our holder group, I imagine more discussions, more knowledge being spread, more strong bonds in the community.

7) Who would want to collab with us?

Hm we are the first ever 10k pfp project. Who wouldn't 🙃
