CLever has amassed over 3 million vlCVX. This has given CLever nearly 5% of the total amount of vlCVX that can participate in Convex governance votes that impact Curve, Convex, Prisma, and f(x). Because of this accumulation of governance power, veCLEV holders have a responsibility to diligently participate in the governance votes and ensure that the proposals meet quorum and that governance reliant aspects of the underlying protocols can progress forward. Currently, the deadline for submitting veCLEV votes for vlCVX is 24 hours prior to the end of the vlCVX snapshot. This 24 hour deadline was arbitrarily set at the instantiation of veCLEV voting, and has created a few issues whereby votes for various proposals failed due to CLever being unable to participate to help meet quorum shortly before the vlCVX deadline. As the submission of CLever’s veCLEV snapshot voting is entirely automated and can be submitted to vlCVX snapshots at any time prior to the ending of the vlCVX vote, this proposal aims to move the deadline much closer to the end of the vlCVX snapshot voting deadline to alleviate issues with proposals meeting quorum.
Move the deadline for voting on veCLEV proposals from 24 hours prior to the end of vlCVX snapshot votes to 1 hour prior to the end of vlCVX snapshot votes.
