Reducing Max Supply of NETT Proposal

Voting ended almost 4 years agoSucceeded

Dear Netswap Community,

This is the second proposal we want to share, which is reducing the max supply of NETT.

As we mentioned before, Netswap is going to be an infrastructure on Metis, aiming to support many more native projects and become the gate of entering the DeFi world for users.

Based on that, NETT is no longer a DEX token. Instead, NETT will be utilized on upcoming functions in depth. In other words, enough supply of NETT is more important than a large supply of NETT. According to our calculation, reducing 5/6 of 100M NETT will make it work.

Therefore, we decided to create this proposal.

Due to the "burn" function not supported by the NETT contract, we've created a BlackHole contract(which is already verified) to receive unused NETT. No one can transfer any NETTs from the BlackHole contract. It can be checked on https://andromeda-explorer.metis.io/address/0x1B3Da69C93CB57E620a1cb6fD94D8421Af14DF3b/contracts

If this proposal gets passed, there will be around 83,333,333 NETT minted to the BlackHole contract. Thus the max circulating supply of NETT will be around 16,666,667. Also, circulating NETT won't be affected.

Thank you! Team Netswap
