FileValidator -- The timestamping app for everybody.

VIDT DAO timestamping technology has evolved a lot since its original launch. Whereas in the past, organizations were to go through a KYC process in order to ensure accountability and transparency, the service has now become open-source for all to use.

Fast forward to now, a time in which everything has changed. The technology has evolved, its applications have become widely recognized, and best of all, it has become open-source. And therefore, we are now able to fulfill a long-standing demand: developing a tool that allows anyone to timestamp any document with ease, using just their wallet.

Introducing FileValidator:

With FileValidator, you can effortlessly connect your wallet and timestamp any document directly into the VIDT DAO smart contract.

Consistent with the original vision of VIDT, an "authenticity certificate" is generated and stored as a context for each document upon timestamping.

FileValidator (phase 1) will enable you to:

• Easily timestamp documents through wallet connection and super simple drag-and-drop functionality.
• Access an overview of all your time-stamped documents in one place.
• Share this certificate with others to verify the authenticity of your documents.
• Verify any document that has been timestamped with the VIDT DAO smart contract.

Proposal:

The goal of this proposal is to develop the first phase of this tool.

It is important to us to build FileValidator together with you, and as such, we will establish communication channels (such as the FileValidator Twitter account: https://twitter.com/filevalidator) to build a community, gather feedback, and determine future development goals.

The core functionality of this phase revolves around two key features:

• Timestamping documents: This involves recording a document's unique fingerprint on the blockchain to verify its authenticity in the future, using the VIDT DAO smart contract.
• Verifying documents: This allows you to check the authenticity of any document using the VIDT DAO smart contract.

Our team consists of experienced developers, marketers, and VIDT DAO enthusiasts who have been involved in the early stages of the VIDT technology journey. We wholeheartedly believe in the technology behind VIDT timestamping and are eager to expand the service in a new direction/to a new audience.

The development will be done in partnership with Apollo Journey (a Dutch software company).

Procedures:

By requesting 2.2 million VIDT DAO tokens, we aim to fund the creation of FileValidator. This process includes:

• Designing the UI and the UX of the web application.
• Developing the backend API and front-end, with future-proofing in mind.
• Integrating the scalable infrastructure.

Additionally, we will:

• Research a business toolkit for new integrators to utilize.
• Cover maintenance and operational costs for the first phase.
• Set up a Twitter channel to keep the community updated on development progress and interact with users.
