FileValidator V1 -- Upgrading an essential pillar of the VIDT DAO ecosystem

Following the successful launch of FileValidator Beta, we are now progressing to the next phase: FileValidator V1. This all-encompassing tool enables you to harness the power of VIDT DAO technology for personal use. Now on both Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain platforms.

Throughout the beta testing, we collected valuable feedback regarding the tool's functionality, user experience, aesthetics, and methods to overcome potential obstacles. The beta version accomplished its intended objective by demonstrating the tool's successful development and seamless integration with the VIDT DAO smart contract. With all these learnings in mind, it is time to proceed to the next phase.

FileValidator enables you to seamlessly connect your wallet and timestamp any document directly onto the VIDT DAO smart contract across both Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain platforms.

In line with VIDT's founding vision, an "authenticity certificate" is created and preserved as context for each document upon timestamping.

About V1

Version 1 of FileValidator, currently in Beta, prioritizes an exceptional UI and UX that are user-friendly and informative, ensuring even new users can easily get started. We believe it's essential for the tool to showcase an impressive design that accurately reflects the power of VIDT DAO's timestamping technology.

The VIDT DAO smart contract is deployed on both Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain. Executing contract functions on Ethereum can be quite costly, especially during periods of high network demand. In contrast, these costs are significantly lower on Binance Smart Chain. As a result, we aim to integrate the option for users to select their preferred chain for timestamping files.

We're also focusing on making certificates of authenticity easier to display and share, as well as enhancing the overview interface in the 'my files' area. Our goal is to provide a smooth and effortless user experience.

The proposal

The requested 2.68 million VIDT DAO tokens will be allocated towards funding the development of FileValidator's Version 1 update. This significant upgrade will not only enhance the VIDT DAO ecosystem but also serve as a prominent showcase for current investors, users, and potential new investors exploring the VIDT DAO ecosystem.
