VFDP-2: Approval of Statement of Work (SoW) with Camp Consulting for Medicinal Chemistry Services

Background: Vita-Fast DAO is committed to the exploration and development of new autophagy-inducing compounds for potential therapeutic applications. From our recent experiments, we have identified 40 promising compounds spanning across 9 distinct chemical families. It is of greatest importance to perform a thorough analysis of these compounds to streamline and optimize our future development stages. The members of Vita-Fast DAO are urged to cast their votes regarding this critical decision, which will shape the future direction of our compound development strategy.

Objective: The objective is to enter into a contractual agreement with Camp Consulting to perform chemical analysis on the identified compounds. This will aid in down-selecting the compounds, forming a foundation for the subsequent hit-to-lead optimization.

Statement of Work (SoW) Highlights:

Contract Parties: Vita-Fast DAO and Camp Consulting.

Scope: Chemical analysis of 40 compounds based on the stated criteria.

Cost Implications: The minimum cost is estimated at £325 (2.5 hours x £130/hr) for the completion of milestone 1. The maximum cost is projected to be £650 (5 hours x £130/hr) upon completion of milestone 2.

Key Milestones:

Milestone 1: Within 2 hours of work, provision of scores for all compounds, outlining the red flags and favorable properties.

Milestone 2: Post feedback, refined scores, and strategic feedback on the pursuit of the identified compounds will be provided within the subsequent 2 hours of work.

Contract Continuation: The decision to progress beyond the first milestone rests with Vita-Fast DAO.

Financial Implications:

Budget Requested: £650, which is the maximum estimated cost for the completion of both milestones. Any unused funds, if the contract is terminated after milestone 1, will be retained by Vita-Fast DAO.

Funding Source: To date, the VITA-FAST multisig has earned over $9,000 USD in fees from trading. Given the maximum budget is well below this and an insignificant fraction of liquidity, these funds should come from the liquidity pool, rather than raising further capital by selling more tokens. Recommendation:

Given the importance of the medicinal chemistry analysis for our identified compounds, it is crucial to employ expert services. Camp Consulting, with their expertise in medicinal chemistry, is well-positioned to help downselect compound families to pursue.

Proposal Decision Points:

Approval: By approving this proposal, VITA-FAST DAO agrees to enter into the contractual relationship with Camp Consulting as per the terms outlined in the SoW dated August 28, 2023, and removal of LP tokens to pay for consulting services.

Disapproval: By disapproving, VITA-FAST DAO will seek alternative options or reconsider the outlined terms.
