Vitalik the Vyper-God

Origin: The Vyper tribe, based in an unremarkable protochain now almost certainly destroyed.

Long before the Genesis Cube's destruction seeded the creation of Chainspace, isolated protochains once sparked into being, persisted for moments or millennia, and then collapsed in on themselves...

The Vyper tribe existed in one such protochain, devoted to their ancestral task of preserving an undeciphered language. What this language is and does was as mysterious as its origin. How the language's glyphs found their way into the possession of the tribe is lost to time. A single certainty is assured: that the language would one day be deciphered.

Born and raised into the tribe, Vitalik's transition ritual into adulthood is interrupted by an unlikely encounter with an ancient Memwraith. The interaction and altered state that ensues reveals the function of the language to Vitalik, who incants it and catalyzes his transformation into the Vyper-God.

With his knowledge of the Vyper language, Vitalik can alter the fabric of Chainspace.

Vitalik the God-Wurm

Origin: Genesis [Cube] Maintainer

One of the Genesis Cube's maintainers. Vitalik was the Genesis Scribe responsible for deciphering the Cube's engravings to discover the details behind the Genesis Prophecy.

Caught in the Genesis Cube's destruction Vitalik is exposed directly to Genesis blockmatter, binding to his flesh and ultimately transforming him partially into a blockworm.

His hybrid form enables him to communicate telepathically with the blockworms responsible for making and mining the blocks that keep Chainspace functioning. This same ability grants him precognition and the capacity to peer through blocks - into the ancient past and distant future.
