VIP-6: Re-launch of Ola Finance in partnership with Voltage Finance

Voting ended over 3 years agoDefeated

Ola Finance is proposing to build and deploy a lending platform in partnership with Voltage Finance.

The initial Forum proposal can be found here: https://forum.voltage.finance/t/voltage-finance-lending-network/185

SUMMARY: Ola Finance will provide Voltage Finance the infrastructure to bring lending and borrowing to the Fuse Network. The Ola team will build and maintain the technical aspects of the lending platform, as well as providing ongoing risk advisory support. In other words, the code and contract security measurements will be handled by Ola. Voltage Finance will have the responsibility to adjust parameters, list tokens, and help manage risk by monitoring user activity. Voltage will also have the ability to request additional features. This partnership implies sharing generated revenue between Ola and Voltage. As borrowers pay fees, a percentage of that interest will be moved to a treasury fund which will be split between Ola and Voltage.

Regarding security, the Ola team has taken the following steps to fortify the lending platfrom:

  • a new audit has been done jointly between Solidified and Oak Security teams (https://olafinance.gitbook.io/ola-finance/security-reports/audit-reports)
  • global re-entrancy lock added
  • corrected checks-effect-interaction pattern fixed
  • Token Report created (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zaYixHh6rEHWolxmx-HXGNv97EZbJb72s-RNg9ls_ks/edit)

The security updates have been reviewed in the last audit. On another note, the Ola team is in the process of getting listed on InsurAce, a leading insurance provider in the DeFi space. While InsurAce currently does not support Fuse network, Ola will work to bring them (or another insurance provider) to Fuse, allowing users to purchase optional coverage over their funds. Second, Ola has completed its bug bounty listing on Immunefi, a program which allows white-hat hackers to examine the code and report contract vulnerabilities in exchange for a reward.

Due to the importance of this proposal, the quorum necessary for the proposal to go through has been raised from 25 million to 75 million tokens. The proposal will be up for 72 hours.
