VitaLabs Voting Proposal: Selection of Projects for Incubation
Introduction to VitaLabs
VitaLabs is VitaDAO’s platform for driving innovation in longevity research through a decentralized and collaborative approach. Operating on the principles of transparency, community involvement, and open science, VitaLabs provides researchers, scientists, and enthusiasts with the tools, resources, and frameworks to propose, develop, and execute transformative projects. Our mission is to advance longevity science by fostering groundbreaking ideas that challenge conventional research paradigms.
Community-Driven Project Proposals
In alignment with our decentralized ethos, the projects presented for this voting round were proposed permissionlessly by the community . These proposals emerged from an initial stage of Ideation, during which fellowship applicants introduced their ideas, exchanged feedback, and formed collaborative teams. This stage emphasized open discussions, peer support, and community engagement to refine ideas and address potential gaps. It is important to note that these projects have not been vetted by the VitaLabs or VitaDAO Core Teams. Instead, they represent the creativity, expertise, and passion of our global community. The selection process for incubation relies entirely on community voting, ensuring democratic decision-making and support for the projects with the greatest collective endorsement.
Proposal Overview
This voting round aims to identify up to four projects to advance to the next phase. Selected projects will receive support from VitaDAO, including funding, and access to mentorship and resources, enabling their teams to develop and execute research plans. By participating in this voting round, you contribute to empowering innovative projects that have the potential to reshape longevity science.
Key Details of the Process 1. Proposed Projects: Each project was developed collaboratively by VitaDAO community members during the Ideation Stage. The submissions outline hypotheses, methodologies, and potential impacts within the longevity science space.
2. Voting Mechanism: This Selection Stage employs a quadratic voting mechanism , which emphasizes widespread community support. Quadratic voting ensures that projects garnering diverse but moderate support are prioritized, reflecting the collective preferences of the community.
3. Projects Selection: The top four most voted projects will be incubated by VitaLabs. These projects will benefit from structured support from VitaDAO, including:
- Funding for project development.
- Mentorship from VitaLabs Core Team and advisors.
- Resources and tools to advance research and collaboration.
- Opportunities to scale and commercialize their innovations.
- Access to continuous funding opportunities intermediated by VitaDAO
We encourage all community members to thoroughly review the proposed projects listed below, and carefully consider their potential impact before casting votes. This is your opportunity to shape the future of longevity science and support the ideas you truly believe in!
