Manchester United/Tezos

Manchester United is one of the most well known Football (soccer) clubs in the World. They now have arguably the best player in Cristiano Ronaldo on the team, which will bring massive interest in the club, its games, and its merchandise. Manchester United recently announced that they have partnered with Tezos, a decentralized open-source blockchain that can execute peer-to-peer transactions and serve as a platform for deploying smart contracts. The club released a statement about the use of Tezos:

The Tezos "TEZ Coin uses the symbol XTZ and will be used to purchase goods at the stadium such as food, Jerseys, souvenirs, and word has it, NFT's of players and moments from games. You will also be able to buy tickets to matches with this coin in the near future. As of right now, Tezos is at 2.91 USD with a 3 month high of 5.67 USD. The high was BEFORE Tezos partnered with Manchester United, and it will only increase in value as the season moves forward and and the coin is more widely adopted in transactions with the club.

There is no doubt in my mind that the increased use of the coin in Manchester United's stadiums will increase the value of the coin far beyond its previous high.
