Proposal to create IMCT DAO

Voting ended over 3 years agoFailed

Project IMPCT Creating a token for an environmental impact project, code name IMPCT. This project will aim at encouraging people and companies to create a positive impact on the environment by facilitating a multitude of options, starting from tree planting, through cleaning plastic pollution from our seas and oceans, saving endangered animal species, all the way to creating sustainable farming and many more. This project is aiming to be a "bolt-on" onto an existing, real world company that already does all of the above, however, completely misses the blockchain capabilities. Wombat DAO is in a unique position to be able to kickstart such a project, facilitate all the blockchain design, development, tokenomics etc and even potentially attract investors, who are looking for positive environmental impact investments and eventually deliver all of that functionality and hook it into the real world. By doing that, we'll enable an entirely new model that would take away the legal liability of issuing a token and raising funds from already operating entities, which is a significant deterrent and barrier for a lot of "traditional", real world companies to embrace the advantages of the blockchain and the web3 movement.

If the proposal is approved, we could start working on the tokenomics and smart contracts framework for this project, including a fundraising smart contract, keeping a % of the tokens for Wombat DAO and granting the rest to the company that will integrate the smart contracts and the tokens into its platform.
