Why Lemma would like to be a Steward of the Meta-Governance Working Group?

Lemma is a Cayman-based operations specialist that provides services to some of the largest foundations. Our services cover foundation corporate services (accounting, bank and exchange accounts, policies, and procedures), grant program design/facilitation, and cryptoeconomic design/research.

We believe in the role of DAOs in driving the decentralised future forward by enabling open-access to work opportunities. We envision an industry where all participation access and incentives are equal and based on value provided. In order to champion this shift we hope to make ourselves and expertise available not as a service provider but as an equal participant.

After months of exploring the DAO landscape, we conclude that ENS DAO 1) best embodies these principles, 2) is at a point in its lifecycle to benefit the most from our involvement, and 3) the ENS product mission is essential for bringing Ethereum to the world.

Our focus if elected as a Steward.

• Provide access and inputs to our operations expertise.
• Simplifying DAO and Foundation coordination.
• Propose operations process improvements that effectively scale and solve coordination challenges.
• Participate in a manner that signals and attracts a broad talent pool.
• Provide input that encourages sound cryptoeconomic design principles as defined by Just Cryptoeconomics. Hugo is founding member and core contributor of the Just Cryptoeconomics research group.
• Champion ENS as a professional voice to non-crypto organizations where possible.

We hope that the priorities are a reflection of our expertise and emphasize operational efficiency that scales.

Past contracted work with ENS

In 2023 Lemma was contracted by the ENS DAO to develop the first draft of the ENS bylaws and complete a GAP analysis of the bylaws

Assisted with transparency reports for Balancer DAO, transaction facilitation for Osmosis DAO and dYdX grants program design.
