As Winding Tree moves towards implementation of a DAO, it's important that LIF holders are able to participate in on-chain voting to encourage better stewardship of the WT community.
As on-chain voting and also ORG.iD data editing require significant gas on Ethereum Mainnet, WT will benefit greatly from building out on an L2 chain that addresses those gas fees.
As part of this migration, all existing LIFv1 liquidiy remaining to be claimed will be bridged and airdropped to the respective accounts on the L2 chain*, and therefore existing LIFv1 holders will benefit from not having to pay expensive gas fees for their claim.
Currently LIFv2 holders have spent ~$50K or so on the claim process. By migrating all LIFv2 holders' liquidity at the same time as the LIFv1 to the L2 chain, present LIFv2 holders will save approximately ~$15K cumulatively on bridge gas fees if they were to act independently and migrate their tokens.
This proposal asks the question: "As a LIFv2 holder, are you in favour of having your LIFv2 bridged to the L2 chain automatically for you, at no expense to you?"
