NFT.NYC Event: Proposal Part 2 (Refining Guidelines)

Voting ended almost 4 years agoSucceeded

Following up with our first NFT NYC proposal, I am proposing that we carry on planning the event with new guidelines/ changes that were discussed through VC and voted on through polls in the Updates channel.

The DAO previously voted to continue working towards hosting a WizardsDAO party at NFT.NYC (happening around June 20 - June 23, but will likely extend for a few days before and after). After our Discord voice chat and polls, members have voted that instead of going all-out on a huge WizardsDAO rager, we want to:

  1. rent an AirBnB for Wizards to live at during NFT NYC (location, price, and capacity TBD if this proposal passes). For reference: in the poll 16 Wizards have said that they are going to be at NFT NYC.

and

  1. throw an event for both wizards and non-wizards at a different venue (NOT the AirBnB). This event would be a smaller/ medium scale one (50-125 people). At this event, we will include “WizardsDAO specialties”, such as handing out purple robes to people at the event or having a special “Wizards’ Potion” drink, etc. We may also consider hiring a DJ depending on the vibe of the event (party vs cocktail party vs dinner, etc.)

This smaller-scale event means it’s unlikely we will make it a partnership event. Having an AirBnB for Wizards will help Wizards bond w/ each other and just have fun, while the additional event for Wizards & non-Wizards will be to proliferate the WizardsDAO brand and show people why we’re unique.

Voting yes means you are okay with going forward with these guidelines. If this proposal passes, I will start looking for viable AirBnBs and additional venues for the smaller-scale event, then report back with costs so that we can vote on event details again.

Voting no means you don’t agree with moving forward with the guidelines set up above, and/or would rather proceed with different event guidelines.
