Now that we have passed proposals to:
we need to look at how to drive up the number and value of transactions on Xchange. One way to do that is to integrate Xchange into Dex Aggregators.
According to https://dune.com/Henrystats/uniswap-and-dex-aggregators 29% of users (representing about 8% of volume and transactions) access Uniswap through Dex Aggregators. If Xchange is not integrated with those DEX Aggregators, then Xchange is not even in the running to be considered for those transactions.
How do we get integrated with DEX Aggregators?
The method varies from Aggregator to Aggregator, but some such as Defillama and ParaSwap have open source libraries that can be used to integrate DEXs such as Xchange into their Aggregator. For example ParaSwap https://github.com/paraswap/paraswap-dex-lib says:
"DexLib is a library used by ParaSwap backend to integrate with decentralized exchanges. This library enables external DEX developers to integrate their DEX with ParaSwap by creating pull requests to this repository."
What is stopping Xchange from being integrated into DEX Aggregators now?
To perform the integration, we need to know the relevant Xchange API calls. The DEVs have not published these API calls yet. If those API calls were published, community developers could start getting Xchange integrated into DEX aggregators.
These API calls would have to be published before the final X7 release anyway, so we are not creating extra work for the DEVs - we are saying tell us what these API calls are now, so we can work in parallel with you and start the important work of Aggregator integration and driving more volume through Xchange.
There are lots of different DEX Aggregators as can be seen at https://sourceforge.net/software/dex-aggregators/ and the time can vary massively as to how soon they would include Xchange. So the sooner we start the better.
