XIP #5 XBorg Council Labs

The XBorg Labs

Aligned with the fundamentals of our meritocratic reward system and the principles of swarm intelligence, we are excited to announce XBorg’s latest community initiative, the XBorg Labs.

At its heart, XBorg is a community-centric project. This initiative creates a space for community members that would like to contribute to XBorg’s growth at a higher level. Members that wish to join a council shall apply on a specific forum page, details of which will be highlighted upon proposal approval.

The council members are elected every 3 months and are incentivized in XBorg tokens.

The XBorg Labs are subdivided into five Councils, each composed of 3 to 5 members. The five councils are:

The core staff have selected the initial members of the Community Council, based on their past contribution to XBorg: Dadex, Julienas, Cleth, Kitty, Maggus

The Dev Council, Gaming Council, Content Council, and Investment Council are all accessible via an application.

The Community Council

Role: The Community Council will be the key link between the core team and the community. While XBorg’s team focuses on building, scaling and developing products, the Council will be in charge of providing feedback to the core team. In addition to this, they will suggest improvements and innovative ideas to further the growth of XBorg. The Community Council will be in charge of maintaining a transparent channel of communication between the community and the core team. Finally, especially as we scale, there will be misinformation and confusion about certain details, this Council will be the warrant of proper and accurate information.

Requirements: The members of the Community Council will be individuals who are highly connected to the XBorg ecosystem, mission, and vision. These individuals will have read the XBorg Whitepaper, have a strong understanding of our meritocratic system, have earned the trust of both the community and the core staff and have a strong vision for the future. It would also be advisable for these people to be fluent in English primarily, and even better if they speak more than one language.

The Dev Council

Role:
The Dev Council will be composed of individuals who are keen to work closely on developing XBorg’s native technologies. The Dev Council will collaborate closely with XBorg’s lead dev & CTO. The Dev Council’s responsibilities will advise the tech team of XBorg on product features and roadmap.

Requirements: Extensive experience in building consumer products and crypto products. Programming and Product management expertise is preferred. Vaste understanding of XBorg products and vision.

The Gaming Council

Role:
The Gaming Council will include individuals who are excited about playtesting upcoming Web3 games, and projects. They will have access to all early-access products that are offered to XBorg from its partners, in order to playtest, offer detailed feedback, and submit reviews. They will be asked to conduct due diligence and report on games that could be interesting for XBorg to try out and potentially integrate within its ecosystem. This council may collaborate closely with the Content Creation Council in the production of high-quality game review content.

Requirements: Members who hold seats on this council require capable computers that can run the latest benchmark tests with ease, as many games in development stages can be hardware intensive. Members of this council should also be competitive players, that care about minor details that may go amiss for casual players.

The Content Council (content + design + video editing )

Role: Members of the Content Council will be responsible for creating and producing content within the XBorg ecosystem. The Content Council will be a paramount part of developing a leading knowledge base within Web3. These council members may work closely with the core staff and the Gaming Council in order to create gaming, NFT, or Web3 content.. Additionally, this council will collaborate to make content resources available and accessible to a wider audience. Finally, members of this council may create overlays, and design assets, and provide UX/UI feedback.

Requirements: Council members that are interested in content writing should have a strong grasp of the English language and have a history of analytical reports or content writing. It would also be beneficial if the council member demonstrated fluency in other languages in order to translate content. Finally, an educational or professional background in writing will be highly valued.

Council members who are interested in the design elements of this project should demonstrate a strong affinity to visuals, arts, and UX/UI. It would be very beneficial if these members have a portfolio of past works or a history of creation in professional or non-professional institutions.

The Investment Council (Alpha + investment review)

Role: The Investment Council consists of individuals who will work closely with XBorg on potential investments, deal screenings, and negotiations. These individuals will conduct due diligence and produce reports that will be distributed to the community. In addition, these members may also conduct research and pitch potential investments for XBorg.

Requirements: Members that will hold seats on this council will be individuals who demonstrate a strong propensity towards analytical thinking and research. This individual will also be comfortable working with numbers and strongly understand the crypto space. It is expected that all members will have a strong grasp of the English language, and even more beneficial if they demonstrate fluency in another language as well. Finally, it will be helpful if this individual has a foundation in data analysis and data visualization.

Application Process:

The form will be available on our Discord server in the "Elect Council" channel, and all applicants will be publicly displayed on Notion. If this initiative is accepted, you will be provided with more instructions for the election process.

If you are interested in joining, you have to fill out the form, a separate proposal will be initiated based on the form submissions.
