XIP #13 - Phishing Attack Refund

Background Information

Following a phishing attack on January 22, which exploited a compromised XBorg staff Discord account, we are facing a decision regarding compensation for affected members. Five members suffered a loss totalling $6,772 and an additional 9.7 sETH (under investigation). Immediate actions were taken to halt further losses and enhance security measures.

Options

Full Refund: XBorg issues a complete refund to affected members, contingent upon presenting sufficient proof connecting their losses to the incident.

Half Refund: XBorg issues a 50% refund to affected members, contingent upon presenting sufficient proof connecting their losses to the incident.

No Refund: Opt against compensation, emphasising individual responsibility for digital security and using this to strengthen community-wide safety rules & protocols.

Note: Voting for a "Full Refund" this time does not establish a future standard.

We will act based on community feedback one week after voting concludes. The refund process will be made public.
