XIP #10 - XBG Presale, Free Mint & Prometheus V2

Summary:

This XIP (XBorg Improvement Proposal) suggests implementing a free mint NFT strategy to boost the awareness of XBorg and XBG ahead of the XBG presale to maximise the growth of our ecosystem.

This secondary NFT collection would consist of 2’222 NFTs and complement the Prometheus NFT. 1,111 of the supply will be airdropped to Prometheus NFT holders and 1,111 will be minted for free in February by partner communities to grow the XBorg community.

Prometheus holders will be able to visualise their NFT on GamerBase and customise it with the different secondary NFTs they own, composing the Prometheus suit.

As a result, the artwork of the current Prometheus NFT would undergo a multi-phase transformation so that secondary XBorg NFTs can be equipped on top of the Prometheus NFT. The Prometheus NFT will then eventually be able to be used as a unique profile picture.

Motivations

• To increase the utility of the Prometheus NFTs by granting frequent airdrops.

• To improve the visual of the Prometheus NFT and allow for customisation.

• For communities to get free mint WL spots, they will need to create content about XBorg such as social media posts and host XBorg-themed spaces/AMAs, boosting the awareness of XBorg and XBG in Web3 ahead of the XBG presale.

• To capitalise on the current free mint meta.

• Forging strong relationships with leading Web3 communities and creators is in our best interest ahead of the XBG presale.

• Airdropping secondary NFTs to Prometheus holders increases the utility of the Prometheus NFT whilst the free mint allows new members to join the XBorg ecosystem.

• Updating the artwork of the Prometheus NFT will allow secondary NFTs to integrate into our ecosystem seamlessly and thus the Prometheus NFT will eventually be able to be used as a unique profile picture, increasing brand awareness on social media.

• To increase the potential amount of XBG presale investors and future Launchpad V2 investors because of the free mint NFTs utility.

Specifications

The free mint NFT utility will grant the best allocation to the XBG presale and tier 6 status (equivalent to 5k XBG) on the XBorg Launchpad V2.

The Prometheus NFT will still keep all of its utilities and gain the ability to be airdropped secondary XBorg NFTs. Secondary collections will have additional and or weaker utilities compared to the Prometheus NFT.

The XBG presale will soon follow the free mint to sustain momentum and convert hype into XBG presale volume.
