TIP-009: Add Liquidity to Ghost Reveries on Beethoven X

Voting ended about 4 years agoSucceeded

Author(s): @TigrisOfGaul

Summary

This proposal seeks to add TAROT and FTM liquidity to Ghost Reveries, the 80/20 weighted pool for TAROT/FTM on Beethoven X.

Abstract

If adopted, Tarot will add up to 2,000,000 TAROT, along with a commensurate and proportional amount of FTM, into the Ghost Reveries pool on Beethoven X.

The Ghost Reveries pool can be found here:

  • Ghost Reveries (Beethoven X)

Motivation

Tarot is a significant holder of TAROT and FTM through its protocol reserves, as well as liquidity for the FTM/TAROT pair on multiple DEXs. There are many benefits to adding TAROT and FTM liquidity to the Ghost Reveries pool on Beethoven X:

  • Increases liquidity for TAROT on Beethoven X to facilitate efficient swaps
  • Enables long-term protocol reserves diversification
  • Earns swap fees on Beethoven X and BEETS farming rewards, with an effective single-staking option for TAROT
  • Creates an additional venue for arbitrage opportunities, which rewards FTM/TAROT LPs across all DEXs with increased trading activity and swap fees
  • Strengthens our partnership with Beethoven X

As of March 6, 2022, the TAROT and approximate FTM amounts needed to achieve 80% TAROT and 20% FTM weights for the Ghost Reveries pool are listed below:

TAROT FTM
500,000 ~39,300
1,000,000 ~78,600
1,500,000 ~117,900
2,000,000 ~157,200

Therefore, it is proposed that liquidity be added to the Ghost Reveries pool on Beethoven X.

Specification

Should we add protocol-owned TAROT (from the protocol growth allocation) and FTM (from protocol reserves) to the Ghost Reveries pool on Beethoven X?
