Y4NG DAO Treasury/Multisig Proposal

Objective: Establish a treasury for Y4NG DAO using https://safe.global/ and appoint 5 community members as multisig wallet signers. Talib Papy, Animated Fred, Slamdunk, Ark, and Shibo are community members who have expressed interest in being multisig signers (more info on them below).

Background Research: Safe, formerly known as Gnosis Safe, is a widely recognized industry standard for digital asset management platforms in web3. This platform enables us to securely store our funds in a treasury, with any transactions requiring multiple signatures for authorization.

Feasibility: Setting up the treasury wallet with Safe and designating multisig signers can be achieved within a few days at most. Safe offers free and seamless onboarding, allowing us to initiate the treasury wallet creation and assign multisig signers as soon as this proposal is approved. We have already identified 5 community members willing to serve as multisig signers (more info on them below).

Governance and Decision Making: After the treasury wallet is established, any transactions initiated by multisig signers (e.g., transferring funds out of the treasury) will require approval from at least 3 out of 5 signers. This practice ensures funds remain secure even in the case of a rogue multisig signer. Proposals must be submitted and voted on before any funds can be moved from the treasury.

Financial Considerations: There are minimal financial implications for this proposal. Some gas fees may be incurred when multisig signers' wallets are approved by the Safe Protocol, but these fees will be covered by the signers themselves.

Execution Timeline: Upon proposal approval, we will promptly begin the process of creating the wallet, setting the required number of signatures, and assigning multisig signers. We expect this process to be completed within 1-2 days.

Metrics and KPIs: Numerous DAOs, web3 companies, and reputable figures, such as MakerDAO, Vitalik Buterin, and ENS, trust and utilize Safe for their operations.

Community Engagement: We have initiated discussions within the community regarding the creation of the treasury and the appointment of multisig signers. Through active community engagement, we have identified 5 community members who are willing to serve as multisig signers, contingent upon proposal approval.

Continuous Improvement: We welcome suggestions from the community to enhance this plan, including adding or removing proposed multisig signers or making other adjustments as needed.
