yACADEMY DAO TOKEN RATIFICATION AND TOKENOMICS

As a DAO, yAcademy (yAC) aims to distribute decision-making power to its community of contributors. This proposal ratifies the deployment of the yACADEMY token (yAC) and outlines its distribution among contributors for governance purposes.

PROPOSAL SUMMARY

If executed, this proposal will: Ratify yAC as the yAcademy DAO governance token. Agree to the proposed initial Tokenomics, including: Ratifying the initial distribution. Grant the yAcademy DAO contract permission to mint and distribute yAC tokens.

PROPOSAL BACKGROUND

As part of the transition to a DAO structure, yAcademy aims to decentralize its decision-making processes by granting voting rights to all contributors. The deployment of the yAC token is a crucial step in this direction, enabling transparent and inclusive governance within the DAO.

PROPOSED TOKENOMICS FOR yAC

• The initial distribution of yAC tokens will be as follows:
  • 1-2 yAC tokens per contributor
  • 1-3 additional yAC tokens for Core Contributors

Contributors include but are not limited to: Residents ZK-Residents Resident emeritus Individuals/Organisations who have made notable contributions to the DAO in the past

The tokens given to each contributor or core member will be based on the time spent with the DAO and the contributions made to it.

Future token distributions or adjustments to the number of tokens in circulations will be subject to governance proposals and voting by token holders.

IMPLEMENTATION OF TOKENOMICS

This proposal grants the yAcademy DAO multi-sig ownership and permission to mint and distribute yAC tokens according to the approved tokenomics.

Upon execution of this proposal, the DAO will:

1. Ratify the initial token distribution made according to the above tokenomics
2. Hand over ownership of the DAO token contract to the yAcademy DAO multi-sig

The following should be noted:

1. The initial distribution of yAC tokens is for governance purposes only and does not represent any form of equity or ownership in yAcademy.
2. Voting weight for governance proposals will be equal among all token holders (1 token = 1 vote).
3. Any future tokenomics or distribution adjustments will require a separate governance proposal and vote by token holders.

By ratifying the yAC token and its initial distribution, the yAcademy DAO takes a significant step toward decentralized and community-driven governance, empowering all contributors to shape the DAO’s future.
