YFDAI Governance Proposal - Enable multi-signature across all YFDAI wallets

Voting ended about 4 years agoSucceeded

Proposed By Nath (@CryptoMoriarty) on behalf of YFDAI Governance

OVERVIEW The community (DAO) would like to vote on enabling multi-signature wallets across all YFDAI/SSGTX treasury, locked liquidity and contract wallets. The idea is to have a 2 of 3 signature system to access these wallets.

The current system where only one person controls these wallets is plainly flawed.

However, I will go into a little detail. Currently Rocky has sole access to most of these wallets across YFDAI, he is a single point of failure should anything happen to him or becomes inaccessible in anyway. We have seen an example of this earlier this year when he was unwell and over the Indian religious holiday.

This also raises a security issue with only one signature needed to access these funds.

It has also been noted that the Unicrypt Liquidity lock will expire on the 31st of December and this provision would ensure these funds remain in the service and control of YFDAI. https://app.unicrypt.network/amm/uni-v2/token/0xf4CD3d3Fda8d7Fd6C5a500203e38640A70Bf9577

The Objective The objective is to enable multi signatures across these wallets with the below persons to have keys to access them Rocky Tapas Davin B Richard V

The Solution OUR PROPOSAL This vote if successful will require the movement of all outstanding assets held by Rocky or Olivia to be transferred immediately into a Multisig wallet in order to protect these assets and make sure the team can continue to operate in the event of any issues with a single person.

EXPECTED RESULTS

This proposal will have great benefits for the smooth running and future development of the YFDAI ecosystem Benefits • Movement/Access of funds across the system. • Enable payments to 3rd parties efficiently. • Improve security so no single point of failure • Rapid deployment of funds where they are needed

CONCLUSION The community would like to put this proposal to DAO vote via the governance channel. In the coming days. If the proposal is successful, the management team will look to implement ASAP. If you have questions on this proposal, feel free to contact the team via Telegram or Email.
