Over the past couple of weeks, we have heard from the community to increase our emissions and complete our staking ASAP to proceed with the vault sale. Before we proceed with the vote, we would like to highlight the Pros and Cons of this change in emissions. We would also like to point out that our emissions is one of the highest of any NFT staking project with rival projects having timelines of over 5 years. We are glad that our efforts as a community has paid off and we should see the majority of our stakers getting more than what they started with.
We should have around 25mil to 30mil $ZCAT left in the staking contract. Should we increase the emissions to 1k $ZCAT/day, we should see it being staked out in under two weeks. We will also provide other options to increase emissions to X amount.
Pros: The pool of $ZCAT gets staked out in under 2 weeks and we can proceed with the vault sale. There might be influx of new stakers and price floor of Zombie Cats may see a short term increment. Upon sale, all $ZCAT holders get to claim ETH for their $ZCAT and cash out on their earnings. We can then proceed with Zombie Kittens.
Cons: The % ownership of the vault is slightly changed to the disadvantage of people who had been staking before the emission change.
For example:
Staker A has been staking for 50 days for 5000 $ZCAT Emission Increases from 100 $ZCAT/day to 1000 $ZCAT/day Staker B buys in upon the emission increment, and stakes for 5 days for 5000 $ZCAT Staker A continues staking and ends up with 10000 $ZCAT after 5 days. Assuming the total pool of $ZCAT is at 15000, the ratio of vault ownership is now at A: 66% to B: 33%. Meaning Staker B has gathered a comparatively (to 100/day) larger percentage of the vault within a way shorter time frame as compared to older stakers who have been consistently staking for the past few months. However, the significance of this increase lies in the number of new stakers.
We will go ahead with what the community chooses. Staked owners can vote on discord.
